Buckingham Green
London, UK
For the prestigious project at Buckingham Green, La Ponte clad two large entrance hall walls with Calacatta marble slabs. This material is renowned for its pure white background and distinctive gray veining, which creates a stunning visual effect.
The slabs were carefully selected to ensure vein continuity, creating a "book-match" effect that accentuates the marble's natural design. This meticulous process requires extreme precision during cutting and installation. The cladding was designed to integrate seamlessly with the building’s other elements. Notably, the marble slabs frame three elevator doors, highlighting the entrances and giving them an imposing, refined look. The marble veins flow continuously from the walls to the door frames, showcasing a high level of craftsmanship. The result is a monolithic, sculptural wall that becomes the focal point of the space.
The project was completed with Nero Marquina cladding for the bathrooms and vanity tops for the office floors.
